PJOES Open Access Policy

The Polish Journal of Environmental Studies (PJOES) is a Gold Open Access journal. This means that all accepted articles are made freely and immediately available online to the global public upon publication, without any subscription barriers or access fees. This ensures maximum visibility and impact for the research published.

1. Licensing and Re-use Rights
All articles published in PJOES are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial-NoDerivs 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license.
This license grants users the right to:
Access and Read: Freely access, download, copy, and print the articles.
Share and Redistribute: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, provided the original authors and PJOES are appropriately credited (Attribution).
Limitations: The CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license strictly prohibits Commercial Use (NC) and requires that the material is distributed in its unaltered form (NoDerivs, meaning no modifications or derivative works are permitted).

2. Publication Fee (APC)
To cover the costs associated with publication (including peer review management, professional copyediting, layout design, hosting, and permanent archiving), PJOES requires the payment of an Article Processing Charge (APC).
• Manuscripts are published in the Gold Open Access formula after publication fee payment (the fee is specified in the Instructions for Authors).
• Authors retain the copyright to their work (see Section 3).

3. Copyright and Archiving
Copyright
Authors retain the full copyright to their articles under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license. Authors grant PJOES the exclusive right of first publication.
Self-Archiving Rights
Authors are permitted and encouraged to self-archive the final published version (Version of Record) of their articles in institutional or subject repositories (such as university websites, arXiv, ResearchGate, etc.) immediately upon publication, provided the material links back to the original article on the PJOES website and maintains the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license.
