Dear Readers,

Environmental protection represents one of the most critical challenges facing contemporary science. Rapid industrialization and agricultural development have undeniably improved living standards worldwide; however, they have also contributed to escalating environmental degradation. This degradation poses a direct and growing threat to human health, ecosystem stability, and overall quality of life. Addressing these complex and interconnected challenges requires the coordinated efforts of scientists, engineers, and practitioners from diverse scientific disciplines.

The Polish Journal of Environmental Studies (PJOES) publishes original research articles and critical review papers covering a broad range of topics related to environmental science and protection, including but not limited to:
  • Basic environmental studies
  • Basic and applied research on environmental pollution, including environmental engineering
  • Pollution control and remediation of atmospheric, aquatic (marine and freshwater), soil, and biological systems
  • Identification, determination, and fate of harmful substances, including metabolic and chemical degradation pathways
  • Analytical methods for studying pollutants and their transformation products in environmental and biological samples
  • Development of innovative analytical techniques, instruments, and technologies for pollutant monitoring and control
  • Transport, circulation, and bioaccumulation of pollutants and their effects on living organisms
  • Environmentally oriented catalysis and green technologies
  • Environmental hazards to human health and safety
  • Waste utilization, treatment, and sustainable management
  • Land reclamation and ecosystem restoration
  • Conference reports, scientific and technical communications, and book reviews

By maintaining such a broad interdisciplinary scope, PJOES provides an international forum for researchers from various scientific backgrounds to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and foster collaboration in environmental protection. In order to faclitate international disscussion PJOES publishes exclusively in English

We warmly invite all scientists and practitioners committed to understanding and protecting the environment to contribute to the Polish Journal of Environmental Studies.
